The purpose of the ABC Texas Political Action Committee (ABC Texas PAC) is to work within the statewide election process to further the goals of the association through direct involvement in supporting and opposing candidates for the Texas House of Representatives, Texas Senate, and other statewide offices that may have an effect on our industry. This is accomplished through educating our members on the importance of political activism and through the financial support of merit shop candidates.

Contributions to the ABC Texas PAC are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions. Texas law does not limit the amount that individual donors (and some partnerships and LLCs) may contribute to ABC Texas PAC; however, contributions from corporations, labor unions, and foreign nationals who are not lawfully admitted for permanent residence are not permitted. Texas law requires ABC Texas PAC to itemize information about individuals whose contributions exceed $20 in a reporting period and use its best efforts to obtain and report the name, address, and principal occupation or job title of individuals whose contributions exceed $710 in a reporting period.
